There we were sitting in the back of Matt's SUV. By we, I meant me, Ryan, and Jason in the back with Spencer and Alex in the next row with Matt driving and Paul navigating. We already saw the star walk, and it was pretty cool. Not yet had we seen a famous person, but we were still on the look out.
With Ryan next to Jason, I leaned into him, instead of the window, nipping at his neck in the process, "I still can't believe you convinced Spence to wear that makeup, he does look pretty hot," I whispered in his ear.
The ride there and on the walk, we didn't get to be touchy-feely much, mainly due to my excitement. Hell, even in the shower I was too hyper to kiss him and touch him. I guess I would have to make it up to him when we were alone in his room later, and I was packing. Oh, packing. That was something I didn't want to think about at all. I didn't want to leave. The weekend had been the hardest yet most perfect time I had ever had. And it was all because of this adorable and lovely person sitting right there next to me.
I looked up at him and smiled as we pulled into a spot right on the strip. Nice. I was impressed. Turning to kiss him, I clapped my hands for the millionth time since I got up that morning and waited until everyone filed out of the vehicle.
I laughed softly at Brendon and got out of the car after him. I reached for his hand and glanced around as I tugged Brendon closer to me. "Okay, so...we have the stores of Rodeo Drive...we can go anywhere we want. As long as we don't let anyone steal Spence. So watch out to be sure that no one tries to steal him away from us. They'll want to with how hot he's lookin."
Laughing, I pulled Brendon's lips to mine before winking at Spence as we all started down the street a little. I held Brendon close to me, Alex slid in on my other side, between me and Spence. "You like giving away my clothes, don't you Ry? You sent Spence to borrow my new shirt, you let Bren raid my closet, I'm surprised you and Matt aren't wearing something of mine too."
I grinned over at Alex and shrugged. "Well, what can I say? I was right though, wasn't I? Spence looks good in your shirt, and especially with that eyeliner. You may have to hold his hand so someone doesn't sweep him away from us. We'd be devastated without him with us, and you would too. What would we tell the rest of the band?!" I chuckled and looked over at Brendon. I knew I was being bad, hinting at Alex and Spence as much as I could. Spence did look hot. Of course, he also looked a little gay, which, I definitely wasn't against, and I doubted Alex and Bren were either.
Alex chuckled and reached out to pull Spencer closer to him. "No worries. I won't let anyone steal him away from us."
I just shook my head at Ryan and Alex, squeezing Ryan's hand as we walked. I hoped he didn't take it too far with Spencer. I know I had done the same earlier, but not with the both of them. I could tell Ryan was for the two of them together. And I wasn't sure if it was so he could keep an eye on who Alex was dating or well, I have no other clue why he would care. Yea, they were both our friends, but still, no reason to hook them up together. I just knew that I had to see where Spencer was on this whole situation, cause I really couldn't read him right now, which was strange.
Glancing at the stores, I saw one with accessories and what not. And I could really use a new belt. I had been looking for the perfect one for the past few months, but nothing new has come to our mall.
"Ooh, I wanna go in there..." I pointed to the store with the shoes, purses and belts in the window. Tugging on Ryan's hand, I walked towards the store, not really caring if anyone was following or not, "Can you help me find a new belt?" I asked as I opened the door and looked around.
I nodded and smiled, leaning in to kiss him as I walked with him. "Of course I can Bren. All you had to do was ask." I grinned and pulled him in against me, dipping my head down and kissing his neck softly. "What're you looking for? Something specific?"
Glancing over my shoulder, I smiled to myself at the sight of Alex and Spence. They were cute, they really were. But, they weren't my boyfriend who was leaving me in a few hours. So I turned my attention back to him and the store we were in. Chewing on my lip a little I looked around and ran my fingers over a couple things. I knew I should bring something home with me for my mom, if not both of my parents. I thought that maybe I should buy my mom a new pocketbook, a nice expensive one, maybe Louis Vouitton or Chanel or something. Although, I personally preferred Coach.
"I can't believe I have to say bye to you tonight, Bren. Having you here this weekend has been absolutely amazing. And then to get Spence here and Matt too. I dunno how I'm gonna make it through this week without seeing you and having you guys here. I mean really. I'm going to miss having you to fall asleep with every night." I pouted a little over at him before shaking my head and pushing a lock of hair behind my ear.
I picked up a belt that was as soft as butter. "Ohhh, feel this!"
Smiling to Ryan, I pulled him into me, pecking his lips, then pulling back to look at the belt, "Wow, it is nice, do they have it any other color besides..." I scanned the pegs next to it, "OH MY!" I gasped, covering up my mouth. Well, if the store employees didn't know I was gay, they did now...
It was the prettiest thing, well, besides Ryan, that I had ever seen. It was black with white checks and somewhat of an argyle pattern, "Ry, babe, this is PERFECT! It will go so wellllllllllllll with the pants I got when I was with you and all my band tees and I could wear it to church and to work and to shows and too!" I allowed my mouth to drop again, "I love it!" I clapped, almost dropping the belt as I wrapped it around me and walked over to a mirror to check it out.
Making sure Ryan was with me, I drug him along and stopped in front of the mirror, "See!" I smiled, turning around and capturing his lips with him, "isn't it sexy?" I mumbled against his lips.
Stepping back from him, I grabbed his hand, continuing to wear the belt, since I was planning on buying it anyway and walked over to Spencer who was looking at wallet, "Dude, Spence, isn't this the sweetest?"
Spencer just nodded.
I laughed. I couldn't help it, I just laughed. Brendon was adorable, absolutely adorable, and so very very flamingly gay, which actually worked pretty well for me since I loved him so much. "Hey Spence, did you know Bren was this gay?" I giggled and pecked Brendon's cheek.
"It's perfect for you Bren. It matches your personality and everything you wear just perfectly." Chuckling I shook my head as I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.
"Since when did your boyfriend get more feminine than you Ry? I thought you were the most feminine guy I'd ever met, but it appears that your boyfriend outdoes you by far. I mean, that scene he just made...damn, if anyone in the city didn't know he was gay, they know now."
I laughed at Alex's tone and shook my head as I looked at Brendon. "Well, I partly blame it on Spence being decked out in eyeliner." I laughed and nudged Alex away from me, picking up a really nice leather messenger bag. It was beautiful, very expensive, and nothing I really needed, even though it was beautiful. But again, it was as soft as butter. I could just pet it all day.
I put my hands on my hips and tapped my foot, "It's the belt!" I tried to explain. It was true. Like magic slippers or something. Or Jim Carrey with the mask...it just brings it out in me. Oh yea, then, I would definitely be wearing this at shows! But, maybe not working at my dad's office...
Shrugging at Alex, "Ry is right, it is my sexy friend and his wonderful eyeliner and clothing. Makes me just want to bite him!" I growled lightly, before smirking at Spencer and winking, walking over to Ryan. On my way over, I removed the belt, so people wouldn't think I was stealing it, and whipped it slightly at Ryan's bum.
And oh what a great bum I oh so loved being inside...
Wrapping my arms around him similar to what Alex had just done, I licked his ear, "I am already dreading this evening too, with me leaving and all. Here I thought that having sex with you would make me missing you not hurt so bad, cause I thought once you, you know, had me completely that I would be completely satisfied and I wouldn't miss you as much, but now, I don't think I was thinking properly, nor that that made any sense what so ever," yea, I needed to shut it, and quick, "But, oh, this bag is sweet, you SO need it!"
I leaned against Brendon and rested my head against his as I smiled softly, almost sadly and just held onto him with one hand and the bag with the other. I sighed softly and murmured. "No...sex changes a lot Bren. Now that we've had sex, there's going to be that incredible desire to be together and have more sex, or at least touching and feeling and kissing and groping and everything else." I bit my lip softly and turned to look at him, leaning in and pressing a kiss to his lips.
"But, that's why we have naked pictures and memories, and phone sex." I grinned and chuckled before looking back down at the bag. "I don't need it Bren. I like it, it's so very soft. But it's a lot of money, and I don't need a bag like this. Maybe when you guys get signed and rich and famous I'll need to carry around documents with me...like your rider and guest list information and meet and greet information and everything. But...I couldn't use it for school, it would get destroyed."
Shrugging softly I put the bag down again and turned back to Brendon. "Was there anything else you were looking for in here? Or should we grab the guys and head off to the next store? We need to find Spence the perfect eyeliner for him. And I don't know what one expensive thing I'm going to buy for myself is yet."
I smiled and pressed a kiss to him before looking over to see what the others were doing. "Hey Spence, are you getting that wallet you were looking at? It was nice."
Turning my attention to Spencer, he shook his head no. Again. Here he was acting strange. And I was going to get it out of him before he left LA.
"Ry, no, I'm done, let me go pay for this, and we can go," I smiled, kissing his nose then heading towards the check-out. The girl was really nice, and complimented me on my belt choice, saying on of the guys from MCR had boughten the same one last week. I couldn't help but smile.
Once I got my bag and my receipt, I practically ran to Ryan and the rest of the guys, "Dudes, seriously, that sales lady just said that one of the guys from MCR bought this exact belt last week! It's gonna make me famous! And then, you can own EVERY bag in this store!" I grinned at Ryan.
"No," Spencer laughed, "It's going to make US famous!" I nodded in agreement, throwing my arm around his shoulder, leading us out the door.
"You are so right my friend and bandmate! So right," I found myself wanting to skip out of the store. Who knew shopping would be so fun!
I laughed to myself as I followed Bren and Spencer out of the shop but stopped when Alex grabbed me from behind and held me back. He was frowning and it made me worry. Turning toward him, I lifted my hand up to touch his cheek as I spoke softly. "Hey. How's your head?"
He smiled a little and shrugged before placing a chaste kiss on my lips. "It's doing okay. The headache is mostly gone. So I'm doing okay." He started tugging on his lip rings a little with his teeth and I knew something was up.
Turning to look at the guys ahead of us. "Hey, you guys go on a head. We'll catch up, okay?" I waited for them to nod before I pulled Alex over to the side of the sidewalk, so we were out of everyone's way. "Okay, Lex. What's going on?"
He sighed and shrugged before glancing over his shoulder at the retreating backs of our friends before he looked back at me. "Nothing, really. I'm fine. I just..." He shrugged again and shook his head, running his hand through his hair after. "Just...I dunno, my head is playing tricks with me or something. It isn't a big deal though, Ry. I promise. Nothing to worry about. Okay?"
He smiled at me and gave his best 'believe me even though I'm lying to you' look that he had. I fell for it usually, but I could tell there was something more going on inside his head.
Glancing over my shoulder at Ryan and Alex, I looked over at Spencer, "You think he's ok? Like the heat is messing with his hangover or something?" I asked. I was concerned he didn't look the greatest.
Spencer shrugged, "I dunno, should we go back and check on him?"
"No, Ry can take care of him," we walked until we saw a pet store. I turned around, glad that they were still in view, but then leaned in to look at the puppies in the window, "Aww, that one has black around his eyes, just like you!" I laughed.
"Just stop with it already!"
I stood back up, "Dude, you didn't have to wear it if you didn't want to..."
"I know," he looked back to Ry and Alex in the distance, "But it's not like it was working anyway..."
Was he saying what I thought he was saying? "What do you mean?"
"Nothing."
I grabbed his shoulders, "No, Spence, really, did you just wear that for Alex to notice you?"
"So maybe I did," he shrugged me off his shoulder, walking away after mumbling, "Not that it helped."
I shook my head and put my hands on his cheeks, leaning in and kissing him before whispering. "I know you better than that Alex. I know there's something that's bugging you. You're being kinda distant and obviously distracted. So spill it. You know that if you don't spill it to me now you're going to spill it to me later when it's just you and me again. So you might as well tell me now."
Alex frowned and closed his eyes. He dropped his head down against me and murmured. "It's no big deal though Ry. I mean...shit...I don't even know why it's bothering me!"
I furrowed my eyebrows a little and moved a little closer to him, my fingers playing in his hair. "Okay...so what's bothering you?"
He shook his head a little. "You'll laugh at me Ry."
"So? What else is new? But you know that if it's really something, you know I won't. Just talk to me, please."
He sighed and nodded a little before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me against him, murmuring into my ear. "I think Spence is mad at me."
I grabbed Spencer's arm and stopped him from walking any further, "Here. Sit." I said, motioning to a bench that lined the street. Luckily there was a minimal amount of shade from the car parked in front of it, cause it was getting hotter outside. And damn me for having to wear these sexy pants. Why could they have not been sexy shorts?
Blinking to get the small sweat out of my eyes from walking, I looked at Spencer, "Look, there is nothing wrong with you wearing that to make Alex notice you. But the thing is, he noticed you before the makeup even. And now, if he really really notices you, then he will make you wear it everyday, are you up for that?" I asked. Spencer and I almost always had these conversations, where neither of us hardly ever said what we really meant or felt, which was why I found it so hard to talk to Ryan sometimes, cause, he did like to say and hear what was on people's minds.
"I would wear it," Spencer stared at me, "I mean, for him," he sighed, "Dammit, why does it have to be so confusing?"
"What?"
"This," he threw up his hands, "Why can't it be just drawn out for you when you are born, Spencer Smith...bisexual...drummer of famous band, why does there have to be doubts?"
I blinked and fought the smile that was trying to fight its way onto my lips. "You think he's mad at you? Why do you think that?"
He sighed and looked away down the road, but not the direction the guys had taken. "He...he hasn't really talked to me since this morning. He hasn't really talked much at all. He's being silent. he's being...distant...He isn't smiling. What did I do Ry?"
"You didn't do anything Lex. I promise you. I don't know what's going on in Spence's head right now, but you've done nothing to cause him to be mad at you. If anything, he's probably mad at me and Bren for joking a little about the eyeliner."
Alex's head shot up and he frowned again. "He looks good in eyeliner. He should wear it more often. It's hot."
I grinned and nodded. "I know that Lex. I happen to agree. But I think it's cuz we've been teasing him about it and we got him to wear it and all. He might view it as something gay...or he might think we're suggesting things or something. I dunno."
He sighed and nodded before shrugging me and looking back at me. "Is it a bad thing that eyeliner is a little gay? I mean...fuck Ry, you look drop dead sexy when you wear it. I can remember you wearing it when you wanted to seduce me..." He trailed off when he saw the blush on my cheeks.
I chuckled softly and looked down before nodding. "Well...yeah...I discovered how much of a sucker you were for eyeliner, of course I was gonna use it to my advantage. But no, eyeliner being a little gay isn't bad. I think it's hot too. But maybe he's just dealing with...I dunno...debating his own...masculinity?"
I shook my head, "I don't know Spencer. And really, do you think it could just be like, I don't know, a man crush or something. I mean, we both know Alex is a great guy, hell, I owe this entire Ryan relationship to him, so do you think you are just falling into his seductive trap or something?"
Spencer just twisted his lips.
"I'm not saying that is a bad thing or anything. There is nothing wrong with liking someone of the same sex. And there is no need to go questioning your whole sexuality over it. I mean, after this weekend, I know for 100% sure that I am gay, but that doesn't mean I can't have a slight crush on some girl that I meet, especially if she has a personality even remotely close to Alex's."
He sat up more in the bench and leaned back, kicking his feet out, "Yea, I guess you are right..."
"Well, duh..."
Laughing, "I dunno, I guess I was stupid and all to do this for him, to think he would notice me any more. I feel like that chick who used to douse herself in perfume when we used to ride the bus with her to get your attention."
I shook my head at the thought, "Yea, that is pretty damn close..."
"Too bad for her you were gay."
I shook my head, "No, Spence...she SO wanted you!" we both laughed.
Alex tilted his head to the side a little and looked at me, chewing his lip a little before furrowing his face up in what was the signature 'Alex thinking' look. I smiled as I waited for him to work out whatever was starting in his mind.
"You said masculinity. Did you mean that, or did you mean sexuality?"
I smiled and shrugged. "Right now I mean masculinity. I don't know if he's questioning his sexuality, Lex. Its possible. Being surrounded by all of us who like cock...I can't imagine that he isn't a little curious. I know when I was, or thought I was straight, I was curious when I was around people who were gay or bi or whatever. He kinda got shoved into a whole group of us who are gay and him being the only straight guy here. He could be questioning it. Or it could just be because he's around all of us. It may mean nothing. But I give him props for borrowing your shirt and wearing the eyeliner."
Glancing down the street, I saw Bren and Spence sitting on a bench. "I mean, he looks fucking hot. I know if I weren't in a relationship, I'd definitely be hitting on him." I turned back to Alex and raised my eyebrows. "What about you?"
Alex shrugged a little and smiled. "I'd scare him away and he'd want a new producer if I even started hitting on him, even out of fun. You saw how he reacted when I said I'd make sure no one would steal him from us. He practically tore away from me." He sighed and shrugged. "See? I think he's mad at me."
I shook my head. "He's not. C'mon." I grabbed Alex's hand and started walking him toward the bench Bren and Spencer were sitting at.
We continued to laugh as Spencer snorted, which only made us laugh even more. People walking by, I was sure, thought we were crazy, but that was how Spence and I were. We were each others comic relief. Once our laughed settled down, I kicked his foot, "So, are you ok?"
He looked at me and smiled, "Yea, thanks," he said genuinely.
"Good, cause here come Ryan and Alex, and I want to get in some air conditioning..."
I jumped up as the other two got to us, looking around for the other three, "Where are the other guys?" I asked as Spence too got up and looked around.
"Not sure..." he stated.
"Ok," I laughed, "Can we find a store? Cause it is hotter then hell out here. I think I might physically melt here or something..." I made a weird face as I went to hold Ryan's hand, but ruled against it since I knew that would only make me hotter.
I laughed softly before looking at Spence and then at Alex before back to Spence. "Just a sec Bren. Spence..." I tilted my head slightly before tugging Alex a little closer. "Are you mad at Alex over something?"
I didn't want to sound like I was upset or anything, I just wanted to get the issue out of the way so Alex wasn't so depressed. One thing that was hard for me to deal with was my best friend being all sad and depressive. It didn't happen often, but when it did I was willing to do just about anything to help him work out of it and come back to the Alex I knew and loved. Also, I wanted Alex to know that Spence wasn't mad at him so the rest of the day could be fun and entertaining.
Alex stood there looking down, looking very much the adorable yet shy kid that he never was except when something really important to him made him feel that way. It definitely impressed on me that Spencer and his opinion toward Alex was very important to him. I just hoped it all worked out okay.
Just then I Paul, Jason and Matt came out of the pet store we were in front of. Jason had something in his arms. As much as I wanted to check it out, because I had a huge weakness for puppies, I wanted to hear what Spencer's answer was and help the two of them get through the very awkward moment we were kinda stuck in.
What? Mad at him? Oh this I had to hear!
"What? Mad at him?" Spencer started. Whoa, that was like deja vu or something... Spencer walked over to Alex, throwing his arm around his shoulder, "Why would I be mad at him? If anything I should be mad at you two," he pointed at me and Ryan, "For keeping me up all night and not allowing me to get any sleep and have me be all cranky!" he laughed as he kept his arm around Alex, "Thanks for the shirt, by the way," he smiled.
I smirked at Spencer, winking before turning my attention to Jason. But more importantly, what he had. Getting on my tippy toes, but not wanting to get too close in case it was a snake or a mouse *shudders* I watched the other guys react to the animal while sliding over to Ryan, "What was that all about?" I asked, motioning to Spencer and Alex, "Is everything ok?"
Before he could answer, there was a crowd of five other guys and one dog around us. It was so cute! "Oh, do you have a name?" I smiled at it.
Jason chuckled and shook his head. "Nope. But I just had to have it, so Paul bought it for me. I figured we could figure out names later. But right now, I have the most adorable puppy in the world!" He grinned before beaming down at the puppy in his arms.
I practically squealed in delight. "I love puppies! After you've gotten comfy with your new baby, promise me I can hold it and play with it and love it as if it were my own?" I bit my lip and gave my best 'pretty please' look to Jason.
Paul chuckled and reached out to ruffle my hair softly. "Of course Ry. You can be his uncle. You'll be Uncle Ry and Uncle Alex and you can baby sit when me and Jason want time away from our love child."
I beamed and bounced slightly before reaching out with a tentative hand to lightly pet the tiny thin in Jason's arms. "Oh god he's so soft! He's precious you guys. And perfect!"
Paul grinned and nodded. "Well, I bought my expensive thing for the day." Grinning, he slipped his arm around Jason's shoulders and kissed his cheek. I thought that was the most adorable thing ever and felt all warm inside. I glanced over at Alex and Spencer, Alex was damn near hanging on Spencer he was standing so close.
All I could do was smile as I watched the scene in front of me. These guys, every last one of them standing here were too cute. I looked around at each of them, just watching them interact with the puppy. Who knew one small thing could make seven grown men weak in the knees. It was quite entertaining, if not completely adorable.
Wrapping my arm around Ryan's waist, I watched as he reached to pet the puppy. He was so gentle and caring. Not only to the puppy, but every damn thing he touched. I knew I could learn a lot from him, and I couldn't wait to do so. There was just so much I wanted to know about him.
Taking a deep breath, I placed a small kiss on his shoulder, just smiling. Again with the smiles. I was just so happy here. And I really didn't want to go back. Honestly, I couldn't wait for this summer to be over so that Ry and I were back together in the same town again. I didn't want to leave tonight either. If I had left, I would have missed all of this. And that just sucked. But more importantly, I would miss the most important person in my life at the moment, which was Ryan.
I smiled to myself before sighing and stepping back as Jason and Paul went to put the puppy into the carrier they were holding so that we could all go into other stores. Although Jason definitely did not want to give up holding the little thing, hell, if I were him I wouldn't either. I was dying to play with it, but it was so tiny and it looked sleepy. It was so cute.
I pulled Bren away from the guys and looked at the others for a moment before turning to him and leaning in to kiss him softly. "As for your earlier question...everything is okay. Alex just...I dunno. He took Spence's lack of talking, lack of emoting, lack of anything to mean that he was mad at him. It really upset him too." I shrugged slightly and pressed another kiss to his lips before glancing over at Spence and Alex. Alex had his arm around Spence and was talking to the other guys.
Looking back at Brendon I raised my eyebrows a little. "He cares about Spence a lot. And he doesn't want to scare him away. But, Alex, even being the asshole that he is, is very sensitive. He has this thing where when important things go wrong, he gets all depressed. And you don't want to see Alex depressed, its the saddest thing ever."
I shrugged again and sighed softly. "I just...I dunno..." I looked back at Brendon. "Everything okay with Spence?"
Sighing into Ryan, I smiled at him, "No, Spence is ok, seems he only wore that makeup to get Alex to notice him," I whispered so no one would hear but Ryan, "And then, he thought that Alex hadn't noticed him. Then he went through this whole thing of whether he was gay or not. But we finally just decided that it is a man crush. And he accepted it now. So, yea, now everything is ok, for sure," I smiled pecking Ryan on the cheek, "They are like teenagers or something," I giggled.
Not caring about the heat, I wrapped my arm around him more, pulling him closer to me, "I like being able to talk to you about things, like Spencer and Alex and stuff, usually I just let everything build up in me and somewhere somehow it just fizzles. But," I smiled at him, "I guess that is yet another perk of having a boyfriend."
Watching Paul and Jason with the dog, it got me to thinking. That was a huge commitment, getting a dog with each other, and for Ryan not even knowing they were a couple, it kind of worried me. I mean, I always thought that was a mistake, getting a dog or a cat, and most importantly having a kid, cause what if something were to happen, who gets the dog? "Ry," I still kept my voice low, "How long have Jason and Paul been together or known each other?"
I shrugged slightly as I looked over at the two of them with the other guys. "Um, I dunno for sure, but they were friends before they got here, like me and Alex. They applied for this together. I think they've known each other for years." I turned back to Brendon and ran my fingers through his hair before smiling down at him. "You're worried about the dog?" I chuckled softly and leaned in to press a soft kiss to his lips. "Don't worry. Paul bought it for Jason because they're best friends and Paul spoils him. Even before they started making out Paul spoiled him."
Grinning, I chuckled to myself again and shook my head a little. "So, Spence has a man crush on Lex, huh? Does that mean he'd be gay for him? Or does that mean he's straight and is just attracted to him but would never do anything with him? Cuz, wearing the eyeliner to get Alex to notice him...that seems rather...well...gay and not just 'straight with crush' thing."
I raised my eyebrows a little and looked down at Brendon before pressing another kiss to his lips. I just didn't want to try and help Alex really see Spence (not that I thought he needed help) if Spence really wasn't interested in taking it anywhere. Alex already thought Spence was looking hot, dressed as he was and all, but Alex was like most of the rest of us, he was kinda dumb when it came to people actually liking him, which was why when I seduced him before, the eyeliner was kinda a signal. If he saw me in eyeliner he knew I meant business. But besides that, when anyone has had a crush on him or was interested in him, he was always the last to figure it out, which would help if Spence wanted nothing from it, but if Spence actually wanted something with Alex, then that meant I was going to need to hit Alex over the head with it.
I nodded to Ryan, "I dunno, it just seems kinda of like a huge commitment or something, but if they are just friends, then I guess it works," I shrugged. I did think it was a big deal. But I didn't want to worry about it anymore, it was their life, they could do with it as they pleased. But if Ryan ever bought me a dog, I'm not sure what I would do.
Running my hand up his shirt a little to feel his skin at his waist, I laughed, "I'm not sure what is up with Spencer. I think he is straight, but come on, even you fell for the Alex charm one time or another, and I'll be honest with you, so did I, or I would have never let that one night happen at all," I looked at him to defend myself, "And not like I would ever act on it again, it was a definite one time thing, that is for sure."
I tickled his skin as Spencer gasped, "Oh, I wanna go in there!" he smiled at me, "Look, they have all kinds of drum sticks!" I nodded to him. I wasn't sure if we walked into a music store if we would be able to get out very quickly. And I wasn't really wanting this to be an ALL DAY thing. I was cool with a little shopping and then a quick early dinner then some MASSIVE alone time with my boyfriend, and it was almost three.
I chuckled and looked at Alex. "Why don't you go in with Spence? We'll stay out here and wait. That way you can keep him from buying a whole new drum kit, or trying every single one in the store just to hear how they're different." I grinned and looked at Brendon. "And we can be all...us...and you not have to see it."
Smirking to myself, I tugged Brendon over to one of the benches and plopped down with him, snuggling up closer against him. "Oh, I've fallen for Alex's charm a lot. He does have a good deal of charm and he's amazingly good in bed." I bit my lip and gave him an apologetic look for bringing that up. "He's also incredibly kind to those he cares about and unbelievably protective of them too. He really is one of the most amazing people and he's better in some ways than a lot of people out there."
I shrugged a little and looked out at the people who were milling around, shopping. "And yeah, that night...well...as long as you had fun. And I don't think he'd ever expect it to happen again. I mean, it could be fun...but...." I shrugged again. "To be honest, thats something he and I never did, we never had a real threesome, nothing more than what the three of us did that night. And I don't know that I'd ever want to do more than that." I tilted my head down onto his shoulder. "But he has more than just charm Bren. And the thing is, if Spence really does want something with him, Alex would be the very last person to ever figure it out. He's rather...well, blind when people are really interested in him."
I wanted to thank Ryan for his suggestion, I just hoped that Alex too didn't get wrapped up in it. Cause, if it were up to Spencer, he would spend the night in the damn store if he could.
"I know what you mean," I kissed the top of his head, "About Alex and all. He does seem to have a big heart and a good head on his shoulders, I mean, I could tell that just from this weekend. He did a lot for the both of us and for Spencer and for, well, everyone. He is really great, I do believe that."
Sighing, I relaxed into Ryan, it felt good to sit down. My body had turned lazy again since I had been sitting in an office for about 30 hours a week, and it sucked. Running my hand up and down his thigh, "But what do you mean about that? About Alex? Like, Spence would have to practically shove himself in his face if he ever wanted anything?" I was confused as to what he was saying, I mean, I knew guys could be naive in knowing someone, "You mean, something with mixed signals or misread signs or something?"
Smiling, I shook my head. "No, he just never sees that someone likes him. Usually one of his friends has to hit him over the head with it. Sometimes quite literally hitting him over the head and being like 'idiot, he totally likes you' and other times we just have to sit there and talk, over and over and over again about the person and what they've done and acted like around him. Sometimes he gets it, other times he doesn't. And that doesn't mean he isn't interested."
I glanced up at the store to see if the guys had come out yet. "It just means he's really blind when it comes to people liking him. He doesn't see the signs. Or doesn't recognize them or something. Especially if he likes them, now that I think about it. I guess, if he likes them, he doesn't think they'll like him back, so even if they show signs of liking him back, he won't see them." I furrowed my eyebrows a little and laughed softly. "He's complicated. Sometimes you just have to lead him to the realization that they want in his pants or he won't realize it himself."
Shrugging a little, I looked over at Brendon. "If Spence honestly wants something with Alex, he should let you and me know, because then I can help lead Alex to the realization." I played with Brendon's hair before smiling softly. "He did say Spence looked hot today."
I leaned into his hand before rolling my head to look at him, "Well, he does look hot. And I will talk to Spencer about it and let you know as soon as something comes up, ok?" I asked, kind of getting the feeling that he was a lot more into this then I was, let alone Spencer and Alex. But that was ok. I thought.
Placing a kiss on Ryan's lips, allowing my mouth to linger a little longer. Once I pulled back, I looked into his eyes and smiled. It almost brought tears to my eyes when I hit the realization that I would be hopping on a plane in less than six hours. And I was not ready for that. I wanted to stay forever. And I knew that I would see him next week, but that wasn't good enough.
I continued to look him in the eyes until I leaned in again, this time pressing my lips harder to his. I didn't want to fully make out with him in public, but I also didn't want to let him go. I mean, it was LA we couldn't get arrested for PDA could we? if so, it would be worth it, then I would have to stay in LA and we could share a cell together and everything!
I nodded a little against Brendon's lips before moving in a little closer to him and kissing him back the best that I could. I tugged on his lower lip a little before slowly pulling back and sighing softly. I smiled and pressed a chaste kiss against his beautifully pouty lips. "Mmm...now that is something I'm going to miss during this week."
Smiling softly, I caressed his cheek softly and pressed another kiss on his lips. "But the worst is going to be after next weekend until I see you again. It could be a couple weeks." I pouted a little and looked up when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I smiled up at Alex. "You two done looking at drumsticks?"
Alex chuckled and nodded. "Uh huh. Spence got a new set of sticks. He swears that they aren't his one expensive item of the day so we can't tell him he can't' buy anything else. He made me swear that I'd back him up on that because, as he said, they're 'just a set of drumsticks' or something." He shrugged and nodded toward the other guys. "They wanna go check out that fancy store over there and then get an early dinner. You guys wanna come or stay here and makeout?"
Laughing, I looked at Bren. "Well, you've gotten your expensive thing for the day, but I haven't gotten mine. You wanna do a little more shopping with me?"
I nodded at Ryan as I stood up, giving him a hand to get up too. Lacing our fingers, I looked over to Spencer, "Here let me see what you got," I smiled as he walked over.
Spencer was grinning form ear to ear, "Look, they're Pro-Mark. The natural American Hickory with the wood tip. I'd been looking for these forever but all they had online was the TX5B's in stock, and I wanted the TXR2B's and here they are! I'm so excited! I can't wait to go home and try them out!"
I laughed at Spencer as I handed him back his sticks, "Yea, I'll take your word on it, they sure the hell do beat the band sticks we used to use."
"For sure!" he tapped them on his legs as he twisted and twirled them between his fingers as we made our way into the store.
Looking over at Ryan, I smiled then winked, kissing him quickly as we made it through the door.
I looked at Spencer, bewildered. "Um...yeah...what he said." Laughing, I nudged Brendon with my hip as we walked into the store and I looked around. "Hmm...what should I buy myself Bren? I mean, you got that sexy new belt. I have no clue what I should get." I pouted a little as we started to wander around. I was picky when it came to what I bought myself.
"Oh! We need to find a cosmetics place too so I can buy Spence that eyeliner! Don't let me forget that before we go for dinner and I end up leaving Spence without his eyeliner." I pecked Brendon on the lips and looked over to see what the other guys were doing.
Alex held up a shirt that was sitting near one of the windows. "Hey, Spence, you look so good in mine, you should get one of your own! It's just like it, not the same, but just about. Try it on, I bet it'll look just as good as mine. And then you can have your own without raiding my closet from Vegas!" He laughed and threw the shirt at Spence.
I grinned and looked at Brendon. "Uh oh, Spence getting fashion advice from Alex...this could be troublesome. How tight do you think Spence would like his wardrobe? Because chances are, Alex will put him in tight pants, tight shirts, and everything that show off every curve."
I gave Ryan a questionable look. Yes, it could be bad. But good too, Spencer needed a new wardrobe. Lord knows he needed to get out of the skateboard shirts and the baggy jeans.
"Eh," I smiled to Ryan, "He'll be ok, he needs some new clothes and such, and maybe Alex telling him this would do the trick for sure," I kissed him with a smack on the lips, looking over to Matt who had a huge stack of 'retro' shirts in his hands, "One," I laughed, "Just one thing to splurge on..."
Matt gasped, "But, look, they are 5 for $100 and regularly $30 a piece, so I have to get five, I mean really..." he grinned.
"Ok, yea, whatever," I shook my head, giving my full attention back to Ryan, "And as for you, my lovely, what is it that you are looking for?" I asked as I scratched at his back, looking through the jeans then letting my eyes graze across the wall. Then I saw it. A mannequin on display, "Oh..." I let out as I walked over to the sauciest sports jacket I had ever seen. It was a midnight grey with stitches and holes down the arms and elbows. The whole thing was crafted like it was made inside out. And with it was a cream button up with frillies on it. I don't know what it was about it, but it turned me on slightly, "Um, Ryan, you gotta try this on..."
I laughed as Matt continued picking up shirts and shook my head before following Brendon over to the mannequin. I raised my eyebrows and looked at him. "I have to try that on? And why do I have to try it on? I mean...that shirts got...like...ruffles." I looked at it and shrugged a little. It was an interesting look, that was for sure, and I wasn't sure what I thought about it.
Behind me, I heard Alex cry out in triumph and I had to turn around. My jaw dropped.
Alex had managed to get Spence to try on an entire outfit. I tugged on Brendon's sleeve and pointed over to the two of them who were standing outside one of the fitting rooms. Spence was in a very sexy pair of black pants that were fitted to his body pretty damn well, and a dark grey shirt, just like the one he'd borrowed from Alex earlier. He was also wearing a very hot black jacket that was boxy, but fitted very flatteringly against his figure, and the neck was one of those short collars that wasn't a collar. He also had on a pair of black shoes that looked like boots.
He looked fucking hot.
"Um...Bren? Since when was your best friend so fucking hot?" My jaw was still dropped and I couldn't really take my eyes off of Spence. Alex was beaming and telling Spence he just had to have that outfit.
I did a double take then narrowed my eyes at him. I knew I should have worn my glasses or at least brought an extra pair of contacts. I walked over to him with a smirk on my face then followed it with a whistle as soon as I was close enough to actually take him all in.
"Damn," I laughed as I looked at him, "Here, turn around."
He did so, blushing, and even more so, that I could see in the mirror, as his backside was shown to us. I couldn't resist, so I stepped up and slapped him on the ass, laughing, "Nice Spence, real nice."
Once he was facing us again, he just shrugged, "So, you think it looks ok? I mean, not too much?" he asked all of us, but looked at me.
"Um, yeah," I smiled to Ryan, placing my arm around his waist, "Spence you look beyond great. And Ryan, you are right, we need to find him some eyeliner. Cause, you know you can't wear that outfit without it," I winked at him, "And see, you can still dress it down with the band tees and stuff. Good job, Alex, good job!"
I grinned and kissed Brendon's cheek before I reached over to a shirt I saw on one of the tables next to us, it was a very casual almost t-shirt style shirt that was a beautiful deep red. I handed it over to him. "Put that on with it." I bit my lip and grinned softly. "Please, I bet that'll look just as hot." I was damn near bouncing because I always loved getting my friends to try clothes on, and especially when they looked that hot.
Alex chuckled and grinned. "Well...if he's getting eyeliner like Ry plans, he's gotta have the clothes to go with it. I mean yeah, eyeliner looks good with band tees and jeans and all, but it looks all the hotter when paired with some sexy clothes like those." He watched Spence go back into the fitting room and turned back to Brendon. "You don't mind me throwing in some different styling to your best friend?" He looked a little nervous and I thought it was cute.
Looking at another table, I found one of the cutest non-band tees I'd ever seen. It looked like it was a normal band tee, but instead of the band's name, it said 'I'm the sexiest member of this band,' which I thought was ingenious. With a grin, I grabbed it. I was definitely buying that for myself. I also found another tee that said 'Fuck like an animal, sleep with a drummer' and had a picture of Animal from the muppets on it. I grabbed that one too, holding them both so Bren couldn't see them because I was going to give the drummer one to Spencer. Both of them had the worn in look so that they didn't exactly look brand new, but the printing on them was new enough to be clear without being harsh and stiff.
I laughed at Alex, "No, really it is quite alright. The boy would be a walking advertisement for Element if we would let him, so it's about time he found some other brands."
"Shut the fuck up Bren," I heard him yell through the dressing room. All I could do was laugh.
Shaking my head, I whispered, "Testy much?" Then walked back over to see what Ryan was doing, "See anything you like?" I smiled as my eyes fell back on the mannequin with the hot jacket. It was really sexy, and I was sure Ryan could pull it off. I wondered why he didn't like it. Only one way to be found out.
"Babe, not feeling that sexy get up over there?" I asked as I stepped behind him, running my hands around his waist and kissing up his neck, "I think you would look beyond sexy in it. Hell, I'm getting turned on right now just thinking about you in it..." I smirked as I looked at the model again. Or maybe it was just my fascination with mannequins. I mean, those model things in Express are hot!
I looked over my shoulder at Brendon and sighed softly. "If you want me to try it on, I will, but I'm not guaranteeing that its gonna look good on me, or that I'm going to like it. But I'll try it on for you Bren. You know I will." I turned my head to kiss his cheek softly before glancing over at the fitting room.
"C'mon Spence, I'm sure the red looks hot on you, no hiding in there! Besides, I found something else I think you'll like too." I grinned at Brendon before pressing a kiss to his lips.
"I think we need to take Alex and Spence shopping more often. Alex will redo Spence's wardrobe, aaannnd..." I leaned in and whispered. "Trying on clothes is fun, especially when they get bought for you." I winked at Brendon before pulling away as Spence finally came out.
"Hot. Definitely hot." I grinned over at Alex and nodded my agreement.
"Okay, so the grey looks hot and the red looks hot. You definitely need them both. Here, try this on too." I handed him the t-shirt about animals with a smirk on my lips. "Alex, I think you'll like that shirt. Oh, but Spence, don't show him till you come out with it on." I bounced a little and giggled.
